RECENT RESPONSIBILITIES Surveyor to Lloyd's Register EMEA Durban, Dec 1999 to Dec 2006.   Responsible for conducting Class, Statutory and repair surveys on existing vessels calling at ports in Southern Africa. To conduct ISM surveys on vessels and associated Shipping Manager's offices. To conduct ISPS audits on board vessels, and carry out ISPS SSP approvals To conduct audits to ISO 9001:2000; mainly Engineering and Marine related Activity Codes. Conducting Initial Approvals, Certificate Renewals and Surveillance visits of companies in the Southern African region.

PAST EXPERIENCE:

Sea going engineer 1977 - 1994 : 1995 - 1999. Promoted to Chief Engineer August 1990. I have had extensive sea going experience with General Cargo, Break-Bulk Reefer and Container vessels: operation, maintenance and dry docking. Limited experience with Oilfield Supply/Standby vessels

1994 - 1995 Operations Manager for Ship Repair Company, Durban, involved in costing and overseeing of repair and dry-docking projects on all types of vessels and subsequent invoicing.
